I teach children on a farm and this is an excellent book with gorgeous illustrations that I use with slightly older children....grades 2-6, and they love it! Takes the reader from shearing the sheep, dyeing the wool, spinning it into yarn and weaving rainbows of colored woolen items....

Going against the Current is a beautifully illustrated, bilingual Spanish/English children's book that uses Gunter Pauli's ZERIEducation model to teach children science. It was a fun, quick read. Cooper writes a good deal of the characters in their own dialect which evidently was beyond the ability of the scanning program to decipher (and obviously no one proofread). I was ecstatic and decided to buy the whole series. It goes beyond the scary radar screens and harrowing photos of the aftermath to the ongoing, massive problems of predicting and surviving such storms. I think I got the idea that Harriet was beautiful within a few pages.
